Paris Fashion Week featured some jaw-dropping moments, from robot dressing assistants to a model being set on fire.
And the attendees’ wardrobes were no less captivating. With celebrities like Zendaya, Rihanna and Naomi Campbell in the front row seats of Haute Couture shows, it is no wonder their outfits didn’t disappoint.
Here are some of the best-dressed celebs at Fashion Week, as well as a compilation of the key trends they were rocking on the streets of Paris…
Back to Black
Numerous celebrities were seen sporting all-black ensembles while attending Paris Fashion Week. In 2024, it’s official: black is the new black. This timeless colour has likely made a resurgence due to SS24 catwalks from the likes of Simone Rocha, which were brimming with gorgeous black gowns.
Actress and singer Zendaya turned heads at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture SS24 show on 22nd January whilst wearing a unique all-black outfit. The look comprised of skin-tight sweater with bobbles attached to the outer arms, all the way down sleeve. This was paired with a black satin skirt with a thick train, which looked like something out of Princess Padmé’s wardrobe.
The same day, Rihanna was photographed at Christian Dior’s Couture show in a large black padded coat and pencil skirt, with matching black accessories. Featuring an eye-catching durag, leather gloves and an iconic Dior bag, this look screamed maximalism.
Bow-tiful
With the rise of the coquette aesthetic, the bow has become THE staple of 2024. This adorable accessory has been noted at almost every celebrity appearance, from awards ceremonies to walking down the street.
Jennifer Lopez was wearing a gorgeous sage and lilac gown with a plunging neckline at the Elie Saab Haute Couture SS24 show on 24th January. And what was her accessory of choice? A twee velvet bow, of course.
Dua Lipa was also spotted on 26th donning an XL trenchcoat over a dainty grey mini dress adorned with a velvet black bow. This was two days after her appearance on the red carpet for the premiere of Argylle, set to be released on 2nd February.
It’s Here and It’s Sheer
Sheer was the material of choice in 2023, and it still seems to be a fan-favourite amongst celebrities’ wardrobe stylists in 2024. During Paris Fashion Week, numerous attendees wore see-through dresses which revealed their underwear beneath.
Kim Kardashian was seen at Maison Margiela’s Couture show on 25th in a black dress with cutouts. Not only did the gown show off her long legs and physique, but it also drew attention to her lustrous neckpiece.
On 24th of January, Jordan Woods looked dazzling at Jean Paul Gaultier’s Couture show. Her sheer ensemble was embellished with black frills and adorned with pink flowers on the shoulders and waistline, making a stereotypically romantic outfit look dark and sensual.
Additionally, Korean actress Han So Hee opted for a gothic sheer black dress, which she styled with a dramatic, monochrome jacket at Christian Dior’s SS24 Couture show on 22nd. The look was both classy and daring.
